AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj enjoyed a family outing in Chicago. Joined by her husband Kenneth Petty, the "Barbie World" raptress was seen taking her son Papa Bear to an aquarium in the city on Tuesday, April 23.
In videos that circulated online, Nicki, who is currently hitting the road for "Pink Friday 2" tour, could be seen clapping and smiling while looking at her son who was running excitedly to get a better look at a penguin. The young boy didn't seem to be afraid of the animal as he didn't hesitate to touch it. He later did a high five with his dad to celebrate his brave action.
The family of three also took some time to watch a dolphin show. "A day in my life as a boy mom," so Nicki said in one of the videos she posted on her social media account.
For the happy outing, Nicki opted for a pink sweater that matched her pink wig. She completed her look with a pair of denim pants. Her husband went all-black, their adorable son bundled up in a Louis Vuitton puffer jacket and pants. He looked stylish in a black New York Yankees cap.
Upon watching the clips, fans praised Nicki for spending time with her family despite her hectic schedule. "I love seeing Nicki on her off day spending time with her family and Papa is the cutest," one Barb wrote in an Instagram comment. Echoing the sentiment, one other added, "She's on a sold out tour and still have time for family is a blessing."
"She is genuinely happy with her family," another fan pointed out. Someone else, meanwhile, joked, "Nicki be posting her husband to get yall MADDDDDD and it be working love that for her."
Some others, on the other hand, criticized Nicki and Kenneth for visiting an aquarium despite his criminal record. "So 'he' can be at an aquarium? Around all those kids …," one asked. Another person had a similar question, writing, "He's allowed to be around children?"
Kenneth is a registered sex offender. He was recently granted permission to join her on tour despite his previous legal troubles. He will be providing childcare for Papa Bear while the Trinidadian star performs.
