Tamar Braxton shares her side of the story on why she turned down 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta', emphasizing on her mental health priority and refusing to contribute to negative television.

AceShowbiz - In the whirlwind world of reality TV, Tamar Braxton made headlines with her candid discussions around "The Real Housewives of Atlanta". Braxton's perspective shines a light on the complexities behind the scenes of popular reality shows and the impacts they have on people.

During a sold-out tour stop in Atlanta with producer Carlos King, Braxton revealed that she had been approached to join the "RHOA" cast but ultimately decided against it. Her reasoning? "There's just no way I'm going to sit for make-up, get a wig put on, get my make-up beat, to argue with a bunch of b**ches for nothing," she said, "I can't do it."

She explained her desire for more positive and relatable television, "Let me tell you something, all money ain't good money... It's not worth my mental to sit up here and get into an argument with another Black beautiful woman about nothing so other people can think this is what we're about. At some point, you have to [take] responsibility for what you put on the TV screen."

Moreover, Braxton found herself in a verbal skirmish with Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker, which she addressed during an episode of Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live." She said, "It really did happen. I'm not lying. I'm not looking for attention or drama or anything like that, but that sh*t really did happen. It was not cute."

Braxton tweeted following the show, reinforcing her position and addressing the alleged threat from Burruss and Tucker, "Before y'all start... I left the situation alone. but the fact is kandi & Todd wanted to fight me!! Periodt!!"

The feud was later detailed by Braxton on Instagram Live. It allegedly escalated after a misunderstanding surrounding previous comments that she "honestly truly forgot about." Despite attempts at reconciliation, Braxton and Burruss have seemingly remained at odds.

"I'm like 'listen I didn't mean no harm. I wasn't trying to go against you or nothing like that," Braxton claimed. In response, Kandi threatened to take the feud to the next level. "What's the name of the level you wanna take it to? What you wanna fight?" a perplexed Braxton responded.
